who plan to enter that consumer market, the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and the Brazilian Foreign Ministry invite companies to participate in the Healthcare Fair, to take place from April 15th to 18th, in Damascus, the capital of Syria.
The fair has become one of the main sector events, bringing together in the same space wholesalers, product and equipment distributors and the medical and scientific community. Last year, the event included participation of 125 medical and pharmaceutical companies from 42 countries.
Ultrasound, X-ray and mammography equipment, machinery for obstetrics and gynaecology, sports, fitness and slimming equipment as well as surgery instruments and material are among the business opportunities.
Businessmen in the sector may use the Arab Brazilian Chamber stand at the event to promote their brands, products and services.
Brazil exported US$ 11.5 million in medical and hospital sector products to the Arab nations in 2009. Syria, which is strategically positioned, has 20 million inhabitants and is one of the prominent nations. Between 2001 and 2007, 25 new specialized hospital projects were approved in the country, with total investment of US$ 692 million.
